SEGA Announces Yakuza: Dead Souls!

Zombies are everywhere. Period. You can’t get away from them. If games aren’t being made about them (Dead Island) then developers are featuring zombie modes (Call of Duty: Black Ops, Red Dead Redemption). For me personally, being a zombie fan and all, I think it’s great. The more shotguns I put to zombie faces the better. It seems that SEGA feels the same way. So much so, that they added zombies to their hit Yakuza series. Called Yakuza: Dead Souls (Yakuza of The End in Japan), this title focuses on four characters from the series as they fight for survival during a zombie outbreak in the red light district of Tokyo.

Zombies aren’t the only new addition to the series. SEGA also added new gunplay features where everything from machine guns to rocket launchers can be used against the horde.

Yakuza: Dead Souls should be hitting our shores sometime in March of 2012. SEGA will add new features for the US release, including a new mini-game called Pachislot (whatever that is). Be sure to check back with us as we continue to cover this PS3 exclusive!
