House of the Dead Goes 3D?

It seems like every third party title that is featured on the Wii (or any Nintendo console for that matter) moves to another system. SEGA is the company behind the move this time. House of the Dead: Overkill, the game featuring the exploitation/grindhouse film look and the most curse words delivered in a game ever, will be moving to the PS3 this October. The version going to the PS3, called The House of the Dead: Overkill – Extended Cut, will be presented in full HD with 3D support and will be compatible with PlayStation Move. Truth be told, after playing it on the Wii, I am a little afraid of what the Extended Cut will entail. There is just so much crude humor and cursing that I can take for one decade and that was used up on the Wii version.

“The House of the Dead: OVERKILL – Extended Cut for the PlayStation 3 system will send players to the shrieking mad heart of mutant mayhem. This time we went further, faster and bloodier than before. We extended everything, even the title.” – Said Gary Knight of SEGA.” – Press

Extended Cut will have all seven of the original levels plus two brand new scenarios. There will also be new game modes and new content (which SEGA isn’t reveling just yet) as well as trophy support. If you’re headed to E3, check it out. If not, you’ll have to wait till October 25th (28th in Europe)!
