UMD Passport?

Sony announced the “UMD Passport” program. This will allow PSP owners to download an application that registers the user’s UMD games and gives them a discount on the game to redownload it off the Vita’s digital store. You read that correctly, you get to re-purchase games that you already own. Yay! *Sarcasm* The price of the games will vary but its said to be between 500-1000 yen or the equivalent of $6 to $13 (they can go as high as 2,400 yen or $31). Right now this has only been announced in Japan but expect Sony to roll this out to the U.S. and Europe once the Vita is released.
