When Marios Attack...

Mario has taken to the streets…or in this case, taken the streets over. A mass of Marios took to the streets in San Diego, California on Friday, November 4th. They were headed to the Westfield Horton Plaza, where they put on a show for guests. One performance included the “Tanooki Trot”, a themed dance routine choreographed to the Super Mario Bros. Ground Theme music. All of this was in celebration of the upcoming launch of Super Mario 3D Land (dropping on the 3DS Nov. 13th).
This wasn’t the only sighting. Today at Republic Square Park in Austin, TX another group of Marios made a special appearance. Even though Mario is one of the biggest icons in gaming, this is definitely an interesting way of launching a game. Then again, Nintendo isn’t your normal gaming company. I wonder where they’re going to strike next?
