Borderlands 2 Get's a Release Date!

2K Games and Gearbox Software announced today that Borderlands 2 will be available on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on September 18th (internationally on September 21st)! This is awesome news for gamers everywhere. I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve spent playing the first one; my time in-game rivals the times I spent playing multiple disk spanning RPGs!
“The addictive gameplay and shooting and looting mayhem of the first Borderlands is back and better than ever in Borderlands 2, taking the franchise to an entirely new level,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “With more guns, more enemies, more missions, an engaging story and all-new characters, Borderlands 2 promises to bring a new era to gaming this fall.” –Press
If you’re even remotely interesting in Borderlands 2, you should reserve it. The first one sold out within hours of being on the shelf and I expect the same thing to happen to the sequel. Not only that, but if you reserve the game at participating retailers, you’ll gain access to the Borderlands 2 Premiere Club. This grants you access to download the Gearbox Gun Pack, a Golden Key and the Vault Hunter’s Relic. The gun pack is self explanatory; the Golden Key is used in game to unlock a rare item in the Golden Sanctuary Loot Chest. The Vault Hunter’s Relic is an item that boosts players’ gear-hunting fortune. I’m guessing that means you’ll be able to find cool stuff more often than not while using the relic. With or without the extra goodies, this is a game to look out for.
